The Merlin Mystery is a book and associated website produced by HarperCollins. There is an accumulating prize of $125,000/£71,000 which increases by 20p for every book sold, plus 'Merlin's wand', a fine piece of jewellery.

And finally …
My very own set of Merlin Mystery notes. I have tabulated the information where possible. It is rather unwieldy as a set of web pages, but you should be able to copy it to an application such as Excel or Access.
There are eleven pages.
First, the classified page. This contains all information that appears regularly on each page, from tiles to hats.
Second, the unclassified pages. All the miscellaneous objects are listed, sorted in three ways: by the page they are on, the thing that they are (in a very rough alphabetical order) and by the position they occupy (border objects only), labelled from one to 48, where one is the top left-hand corner.
Third, the stage pages. I believe that the game subdivides into seven stages, based on the seven solids on page five of the book. Thus I have pages corresponding to the pyramid, cone, cube, sphere, cylinder, cuboid and diabolo.
Here's a copy of Merlin's wheel, thanks to 'Poirot'. Hope you find it useful. Finally, there have been quite a few discoveries recently, and I have summarised them in an 'Enigma' file. To obtain Enigma, go to Laumriet's site.
